We are now a little over the half way stage of our major unlooping project on behalf of SP Electricity North West.
We started this project in late March, with a planned completion by October. So far we have laid & energised ~4.0km of LV mains (65% complete) & unlooped 95 of the 550 properties, with 97 others booked in over the next 4 weeks.
This trial has surfaced a few challenges, but all in a days work for the team at Opus as our skilled team led by Marcus Rothwell (Operations Delivery Manager), who have planned well, so are prepared to respond.
Our Unlooping Project Manager, Charlotte Robinson said “these works are essential to enable the distribution network to be safe & resilient, as customers add Low Carbon Technologies to their properties. Our approach to these works keep safety at the forefront whilst ensuring the customer journey is smooth; start to finish”.
The success of this project so far, has relied heavily on teamwork between operations, jointing, reinstatement, planning and customer service. This end to end solution we provide to our clients has again allowed us to deliver best in class service to all customers & stakeholders.
We’re proud also to have been given the opportunity to support the local sports club. A small investment from us, is massive for them & supports grass root sports & participation in the community.
From torrential rain to 30 degrees heat in recent months – our team push on through to get this work done.
