We recently made an investment to Opus Group HQ, in fitting a defibrillator to the main building/ Depot. This followed with planned training for selected staff will someday potentially save someone’s life. Probably, the best investment we will ever make.
Matthew Normyle, Opus’ SHEQ Manager said “The peace of mind, having our own defibrillator installed, offers our team reassurance that help is available in case of an emergency, reducing anxiety and improving overall wellbeing. This coupled with the fact that having our own on site defibrillator dramatically increases the chances of survival for individuals suffering from a cardiac arrest make this kit a key component in the health, safety and well-being of our people at Opus Group.”
Gemma Gale, Head of Group Compliance said “whilst I hope it’ll never be needed, having recently done the training myself, I’ll be ready should I ever be called upon. This investment by the business demonstrates how serious we take the health in health & safety.”
We are also undertaking a number of initiatives to proactively help with the health of our staff & teams, more to follow on this later.
