We had our mid-year safety stand down last week in England, as we reflect on the 1st 6 months of the year; our business performance & specifically safety performance and set out requirements & areas of focus for the next 6 months.

It was a great opportunity to engage with the Opus Team. We took away some good feedback, but delivered some important messages with an aim of influencing the teams’ decision making to keep them safe, and any visitors to our sites.

Our focus areas are Utility Avoidance, Signing Lighting & Guarding, Risk Assessment & PPE. Nothing new I hear you say… just a need to keep reinforcing the important message of compliance in these areas. We don’t mind delivering the message 1000’s of times, if if allows our teams to go home safe at night.
